What is TOMSERVES?

TOMSERVES is the approved strategic development and communications initiative of Tau Omega Mu (MCMLXXII), Inc., designed to provide the organization with a clear and doable strategy to gain relevance and meaning not only to its members but to the community at large.

The TOMSERVES roadmap has been presented and approved by the TOM Council of Elders and the Board of Governors in 2018/2019.

How did TOMSERVES start?

On 03 May 2018, a group of senior brods met and discussed the need for a viable strategy that can move TOM Inc. into the future with renewed vigor and purpose.

Brods Chicoy Enerio, Benjie Somera and Favs de Vera were tasked to propose such plan, for approval of the BOG. This was the start of TOMSERVES.

Objectives

Membership Outreach

Seek out long-lost brods and sis, revive their love and pride for TOM, encourage them to return to the fold and be part of alumni activities and projects; ask all Omegans to convince others within their own circles to follow suit

Financial Stability

Provide an avenue for the payment of membership dues (past, present and future) and voluntary financial contributions; ensure fiscal transparency, proper management of financial resources and a high rate of return for TOM

Service Brand Promotions

Promote TOM’s good reputation as a reliable service organization; undertake high-impact programs that solidify TOM’s service image; create a new meaning and relevance of TOM Inc. not only to its members but the community at large.

The three (3) objectives are interconnected to one another – without committed members, we have limited resources; without the necessary resources, we can not
embark on service projects that promote our brand; without a service brand, we do not have a magnet to pull the membership back into the fold.

Targets

Short Term (2020-2022)

Sharp focus on the Membership and Financial Objectives of the Campaign.

Develop the Service Definition and Criteria of TOMSERVES.

Targets:
*100+ Lifetime Members *P1,000,000.00+ Funds
*Established Secretariat to spearhead relevant discussions on policy and actions to be undertaken.

Mid Term (2022-2032)

Continued emphasis on Membership Outreach and Financial Stability.

Formation and registration of TOM’s business corporation to be known as TOMSERVES, Inc.

Initiate and implement the first batches of service program for needy communities and fellow Omegans

Targets:
*1000+ Lifetime Members
*P10 million+ funds
*Implement TOMSERVES Programs, i.e, Districts, Eminent Omegans, Marketing, etc.

Long Term (2032-2050)

Continued emphasis on Membership Outreach and Financial Stability.

Implementation of Service Programs for Omegans and the world at large.

Targets:
*All Omegans registered as Lifetime Active Members
*Diversified fund sourcing
*Project Partnership with established NGOs/NGAs and like-minded groups
*Recognition of TOM as a reliable and efficient service organization

Main TOMSERVES Programs

1) Formation of the TOM Inc. Secretariat

Set up a functional Secretariat, ensure formal SEC registration, establish TOM Inc.'s official personality, bank accounts, official address, etc. by Omegan Year (OY) 2019-2020; spearhead projects for TOM Inc.

*Omegan Year (OY) is From September to August of every year.

2) Lifetime Active Membership Program (LAMP)

Reach out and convince all Omegans to become Lifetime Active Members, relive their dedication to TOM by contributing to projects and programs being initiated by TOM Inc., rause funds for the TOMSERVES program by soliciting voluntary payments of the Lifetime Active Membership fees.

3) Introduction of TOMSERVES Districts

Review and restructure of TOM Inc.'s organizational configuration with the introduction of TOMSERVES Districts to compliment existing Chapters and Regions.

4) Policy Debate on TOMSERVES' Service Meaning

Conduct of seminars and debates to determine the most viable Roadmap in the implementation of TOMSERVES' long-term Social Service Agenda.

5) Eminent Omegans Program

Reach out to Omegans and other individuals who can endow TOMS Inc. with substantial financial contributions to support its service projects.

6) TOMSERVES Branding and Marketing Program

Develop marketing and branding platforms for dissemination of services, messages and other communications requirement, using tri-medi, social and other applicable stages.
